Persicaria amplexicaulis ‘Blackfield’ is a robust and long-flowering perennial with fresh green leaves and striking, deep red to wine-red flower spikes that bloom from summer well into autumn. This variety is ideal for borders, natural plantings, and meadow gardens, where it adds height, movement, and a vivid color accent. Persicaria amplexicaulis ‘Blackfield’ grows well in a sunny to partly shaded location and prefers a fertile, slightly moist soil. The plant is low-maintenance, hardy in winter, and very attractive to bees and other pollinators.
