Thymus praecox ‘Coccineus’ is a low-growing, evergreen ground cover with fine, fragrant green leaves and brilliant deep pink to red flowers that bloom in late spring and early summer. This compact herbaceous plant is ideal for rock gardens, sunny flower beds, formal plantings, and as ground cover between paving or stones. Thymus praecox ‘Coccineus’ grows best in a sunny spot with well-drained, lime-rich soil. The plant is low-maintenance, drought-resistant, hardy in winter, and attractive to bees and butterflies.
