The fruits are ripe for picking from August until the frost. Blackberries are first green, then they turn red, and finally take on that beautiful dark purple-black color. They are full of minerals and naturally sweet. The blackberry prefers a sunny location. The more sun the plant gets, the more fruits will develop.
