Description
‘Trachelospermum Star of Ibiza’ also called star jasmine because of its soft pink, star-shaped flowers. It is a Mediterranean evergreen climbing plant and hardy down to -10°C. The abundant flowering period is from early June to late August, during which the flowers spread a delightful sweet fragrance. The climber has oval, dark green leaves and needs support from a trellis or fence to grow well. The newly sprouting branches of this star jasmine curl beautifully upwards along a mesh or fence. The best location is sunny to partial shade and sheltered from strong wind. The star jasmine can be planted in the ground in normal nutrient-rich soil. It also grows well in a large pot on the terrace or balcony.
