Description
‘Trachelospermum Star of Toscana’ also called star jasmine because of its soft yellow, star-shaped flowers. It is a Mediterranean evergreen climber and hardy down to -10°C. The abundant flowering period is from early June to late August, during which the flowers spread a delightful sweet fragrance. The climber has oval, dark green leaves and needs support from a trellis or fence to grow well. The newly sprouting branches of this star jasmine curl beautifully upwards along a mesh or fence. The best location is sunny to partial shade and sheltered from strong wind. The star jasmine can be planted in the ground in normal fertile soil. It also grows well in a large pot on the terrace or balcony.
